About Me My name is Cat Voleur, and I'm a writer.
<<That's me over on the left. I don't photograph well, but I do have super epic hair that changes color and style frequently courtesy of my friends, family, and the brilliant minds at Manic Panic. I spend a lot of time on the road and I almost never get where I intend to go. It drives my significant other a little crazy and is super inconvenient, but it does make my life a little more interesting. Most of my time is dedicated to work of some sort or another, usually writing or researching one of my seemingly endless number of projects. The time that I'm not travelling or working is eaten up by my many bizarre hobbies (which you can read about below) ranting on the internet ( tpwhich there are external links to below) and spending time cuddled with my various pets. So, yes. That about sums me up, but if you'd like to read more - you just need to scroll down. |
About My Writing
While I was still in my senior of high school I was offered my first job as a freelance writer, which radically changed my career plans. I started writing full time pretty much the same day I graduated, which got me into the exciting world of ghost-writing. I really enjoyed it, there were a ton of perks, but I felt like I wasn't learning enough or growing as a writer, so I quit.
I'm now seeking to publish speculative fiction under my own name. It's left me broke, but is otherwise incredibly rewarding. I learn something new every day and have come a long way in the time that I've been doing this. I am hoping to eventually transition into becoming an author - which I honestly believe is my true calling, whether I'm any good at it or not.
I work across a variety of genres and mediums. My passion lies in lengthy horror pieces but I try to branch out as much as possible because I think it's great experience and I learn the most that way. I also spend quite a bit of time blogging and am in the process of getting some of my short stories published.
